other portable media, but many are less aware of a more subtle culprit -
their own improper disposal of information technology (IT) assets. In fact,
insecure disposal of IT assets is the cause of data loss in 12 percent of
cases, according to a 2009 KPMG International report,[i] with serious
implications for corporate reputation and costly fines. To simplify corporate
processes for secure IT asset disposal, a next-generation management console

NEW YORK, March 26 -- Harbinger Capital Partners (HCP) today released the following statement after the Federal Communications Commission announced its decision to authorize the transfer of control of SkyTerra to HCP.

The Bryan Brothers were joined by a host of friends and celebrity guests at the private ocean front residence of Sean and Ana Wolfington on Key Biscayne, Florida, in celebration of the anticipated release of this ground breaking mobile technology in what many are calling "the new internet."  Guests included top 10 ATP ranked men's players in the world Robin Soderling and Fernando Verdasco, WTA #2 ranked woman in the world Caroline Wazniaki and top 50 ranked, up and coming American player John Isner.

STMicroelectronics Keeps Mobile Music Playing with Power-Saving Stereo Headphone Amplifier

Class-G amplifier delivers analog audio performance at significantly lower power consumption for longer battery life

GENEVA, March 26 -- STMicroelectronics (NYSE:STM), a leading provider of semiconductor solutions for mobile devices, has introduced a stereo headphone amplifier IC that achieves significantly higher efficiency than previous-generation devices, enabling listeners to enjoy high-quality sound for longer between battery charges.

The TS4621 delivers the high audio performance of a traditional analog amplifier, and saves power by operating from a lower supply voltage for the majority of audio-signal levels. While connected to two supplies, power is drawn from the higher-voltage rail for only those brief periods when peak audio power levels are required. By using this principle, known as class G, the TS4621 is among the first such headphone amplifiers targeting portable applications.

The TS4621 simplifies system design with features including an industry-standard I2C interface enabling digital volume control from -60dB to +4dB, and integrated switch-on/switch-off circuitry that eliminates pop and click noise. Its ultra-small 1.65mm x 1.65mm chip-scale package allows the amplifier to be positioned very close to the headphone connector for optimum audio performance.

Joining ST's portfolio of audio ICs targeting products such as cellphones, multimedia and MP3 players, game terminals and GPS devices, the TS4621 has four-times lower quiescent current consumption than the existing TS4601; a class AB amplifier. This saving is valuable in energy-sensitive applications such as battery-powered devices. At the same time, the TS4621 excels in key audio performance parameters to deliver an outstanding listening experience for end users.

  Major features of the TS4621:

  --  0.006% THD+N at 1kHz
  --  100dB PSRR at 217Hz (high immunity to GSM signaling noise)
  --  100dB SNR at 0dB gain
  --  0.6mA/channel quiescent current
  --  2.1mA/channel active current at 100microW audio output

The TS4621 is sampling to lead customers now and will be available for production orders from April 2010, priced from $0.95 for orders over 1000 units.

and shareholders. The transaction was made public yesterday at the company's
housewarming party in Cologne, which was attended by several hundred people

    Under the working title "Social Web Game" the company is currently
developing a new kind of online game, which combines several already existing
concepts and is targeted at a broadly defined audience. For now, the founders
keep quiet about further details.

completely new concepts." Evsan and Bachem have developed the idea behind the
game since 2005, until they put it aside for some time in order to found the

    RapidTainment AG and HTGF take part in this seven-figure seed financing

LONDON, March 26, 2010--     Universal Networks International has today announced a partnership
between SCI FI and Nintendo and Capcom's Monster Hunter Tri game, which will
run throughout April as the channel transforms to Syfy.

    The partnership will see the top selling game sponsor the UK Premiere of
the epic fantasy adventure LEGEND OF THE SEEKER season 2 on Thursdays at 8pm
with specially created 15'' openers, 5'' breakbumpers and 10'' closers.

    In addition, the partnership will cover the Monday Night Movie strand
throughout April, the Creatures vs Monsters movies stunt, which runs from
26th-28th March, and episodes of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER between 26th March

PLATO Learning Enters into Merger Agreement with Thoma Bravo

Shareholders to receive $5.60 per share in cash; transaction valued at $143 million

MINNEAPOLIS, March 26 -- PLATO Learning, Inc. (NASDAQ:TUTR), a leading provider of K-adult online learning solutions, today announced  it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by an affiliate of Thoma Bravo, LLC in a transaction valued at approximately $143 million.  The PLATO Learning board of directors unanimously approved the agreement and will recommend that the Company's shareholders approve the transaction.

Under the terms of the agreement, PLATO Learning shareholders will receive $5.60 in cash for each share of PLATO Learning common stock they hold, representing a premium of approximately 30% over the Company's average closing price during the 30 trading days ending March 25, 2010 and a 34% premium over the Company's average closing price during the 90 trading days ending March 25, 2010.

"Our agreement with Thoma Bravo represents an attractive valuation for our shareholders, and we look forward to closing the transaction as quickly as possible," said Vin Riera, PLATO Learning's President and Chief Executive Officer.  "We also look forward to partnering with Thoma Bravo in continuing to focus on delivering high quality PLATO Learning solutions to our customers."

Scientists have managed to transform a radically different laser concept into a radically different laser reality.

Is seems to be based on the same general principles that allow cell phones (and other portable wireless communication devices) to use an antenna that is shorter than one-quarter of a wavelength of the frequency it operates at.
